Starr Mountain Estate is a large farm. As such, we have several job openings available to those willing to work.
Please refer to our job list for more.
Now, on to the guide!
Our full-time staff are all adults, most of 20 years of age or more. Of course, campers are allowed to work part-time on the grounds and receive pay, provided they are 16 years or older. If they're younger but want to work, they can, but they won't be paid due to legal issues.
Each staff member, no matter their age, is expected to do their work first and goof around second. Absolutely no harm is to fall upon any animals or people involved. If it is found that any one or more staff members have caused purposely harm in any fashion, the consequences will be severe.
There are also internships available to local students. We have openings for veterinary students and those who wish to be farriers. We also have an opening for a student to learn about equine genetics and breeding techniques.
Most of the jobs are straightforward; Instructors teach campers in their discipline, trainers train horses in their discipline, and barn hands work in the barns. Still, if you have any questions, send me a message. I'd be glad to help.
